This wall hanging (approximately 9″ x 42″) features the national flower of Scotland. A lovely piece to hang in a living room or a bedroom and a fabulous gift for Scottish relatives abroad.
This wall hanging looks stunning in a blue Moda fabric from their ‘Grunge’ range with a tartan fabric for the main stem and leaves and a marbled purple fabric for the thistle head. An iron-on metallic bias binding forms the Celtic design above the thistle. The wadding is an 80/20 mix and the backing fabric is a plain cream calico. Black bias binding completes the project.
The pattern contains several pages of written instructions, how-to images, and templates This kit is suitable for people that can use a sewing machine for straight and zigzag stitch, have the basics of machine quilting using a walking foot, the basics of rotary cutting and fusible web applique. However each part of the creative process is clearly shown in the pattern.
Fabrics may differ slightly from the main image.
